I am an art historian and a printmaker. I grew up Alexandria VA. I grew up in a household where the walls were covered in art, so I learned the emotional value of art early on from my parents.
I recieved my Bachelor of Arts (with High Honors) in Art History at Emory University. I have been printing since 2003. I got my start when I participated in an internship with a woodblock engraver at the Torpedo Factory, a visual arts center in Old Town Alexandria. Because of my background in Art History, my prints are influenced by the art that I have seen and studied. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Art History at the University of Texas at Austin.

The name of this website, Folio CIII, is derived from the page number of a leaf from the Nuremberg Chronicle. For a more detailed description of the reasoning behind the website's title, here is a link to my blog entry on the subject: Folio CIII
I decided to create my own website because I love writing about art and sharing art with the world. I hope it accomplishes the task.
